The Doc
Friday had its pros (the afternoon) and cons (the morning). Sitting around a doctor’s office from 8:00AM to 11:30AM yesterday was not fun, especially when you throw in the blood extraction. There is nothing worse than getting poked with needles, except when the doc tells you not to eat anything for 12 hours prior to the event. I hate getting blood drawn; it freaks me out and it hurts. Yesterday I was resolved to watch the whole ordeal, to watch the needle pierce my skin and watch the blood rush out of my arm and fill up three separate test tubes. What better way to dissolve my fears than to watch and understand? When the physician’s assistant was out of the room I inspected the instruments that I so detest. My investigation of the needle was limited because it was hermetically sealed in an opaque container. The two big test tubes had what appeared to petroleum jelly in the bottom, and the purpose of the substance eluded me. When the time came the physician’s assistant prepped my arm with rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs then he unsheathed the longest, most malicious needle forged by the nimble fingers of Lucifer, himself, in the darkest fires of Hell. I shrieked like a 3-year old girl and turned my head away with tears streaming down my face. I had stared too long at the instrument of my demise and my feeble psyche shattered like fine china on field of boulders. It was quite the scarring event. Mistress Celcia(LC) required two shots and she was quite the trooper compared to my wussy ass. One shot in one thigh and another shot in the other thigh.

The rest of the day was fun. All you can eat Indian buffet after near-starving conditions was just what the doctor ordered. Then we cancelled our gym appointment and went out hunting for my birthday present. The birthday present expedition turned up empty but wasn’t a total waste because SSDiabolique found a cute dress on sale at Eddie Bower.

Today when I got back from my haircut Mistress Celcia was up and about. She’s so independent, now. I found her sitting at the coffee table with a glass of water and a bowl of rice and chicken. Seriously, rice and chicken.

Uh gotta go now, it’s off to McDonalds...
