Car SeatYesterday was a big day for little Freakacho(LC). We dumped the car seat rather unceremoniously. I paused long enough to realize that Freakacho is on her way to adulthood. Without that stupid seat she can even buckle herself in! Whoo-hoo. This will make every car trip 15 seconds shorter. SSDiabolique and I were reading through Colorado’s road rules and it states that children under 4 years old “and/or” under 40 pounds requires a car seat. That “and/or” thing kinda threw us for a mind bending loop. Must both the 4 year and 40 pound requirements be met or just one of the two? Stupid “and/or”… only in a government publication. So we interpreted it as only one condition need be met; hence, Freakacho who is only 3 years old but weighs 45 pounds does not need a child seat. I’ll type in the actual regulation later, and then you can decide which way the law reads. And why were we looking at the Colorado road rules? SSDiabolique has a written permit test to take next week and a driving test next month. And why doesn’t a 23 year old have a driver’s license? It has something to do with an out-of-state license and an unpaid out-of-state speeding ticket that happened years ago before I met her. You’d have to ask her for the whole story. Dude, where’s my car? |
