I Got Me Some Cheddar, Yo!

That’s right, mo’ cheddar! Despite the festering-fecal-filled news about the VW Golf costing seven bills for a stupid mass crap-flow meter, I have a new reason to be happy. I got a letter yesterday from the State of Colorado sayin’ I’m getting a 5.2% raise due to the annual salary survey, which revealed us Engineers-in-Training are underpaid. Uh, I don’t know if I believe that, considering the amount of work they have me do. In any given 80-hour workweek I only have 20-hours worth of work. Is it because they’re overstaffed or I’m just that efficient? A little of both, me thinks. Plus, July’s paycheck will include a $182.00 bonus because my final annual performance rating was “OUTSTANDING.” That’s right, baby, I’m muthafuckin’ O-U-T-S-T-A-N-D-I-N-G. Only about 1 in 10 people receive the ultimate rating. This proves I don’t screw off all the time. So let me recap… $400 non-salary incentive bonus I received yesterday plus $182 performance rating bonus in my next paycheck comes to $582. Sweet! Minus $720 in auto repairs means… (*shuffle, shuffle* must find a calculator)… I’m in the hole $138. Sour! Not as bad as it could be, my karma must be equalizing itself. Odd how that happens, I’m concurrently slammed with unexpected car expenses and unexpected monetary bonuses from work.
