Satan’s Tiny PeckerJust got back from having blood taken, AGAIN. As the lady was prepping my arm with an alcohol drenched cotton ball, she introduced herself as an extern… huh? What’s the difference between extern and intern? At any rate some newby was going to stab my arm with a evil needle and I wasn’t too pleased. As it turned out, she did an awesome job. It only hurt a little when she pulled the needle out and later when I yanked the Band-Aid off my arm there was absolutely NO BLOOD. I noticed that she picked a different vein than most phlebotomists do. I’ve got this nice puffy vein that streaks across my bicep and forearm just bellow the center of my inner elbow area. Usually the minion of Lucifer says that a blood vessel like that will roll around and hurt the bejeezus outta me. Then they proceed to dig around in the center of my inner elbow area with that stupid torture device until they strike red gold. Well the extern went with the Mr. Puffy-Vein and I didn’t feel a thing.I requested my previous blood work results, and here is why Doctor Lucifer wanted to draw more blood: ~My TSH level was 6.29 MCIU/ML ~The normal range is 0.4 – 5.5 MCIU/ML I guess this is hypothyroidism. I’ll wait for the blood results and do some more research, but I’m still sticking to my original idea about restricted carbohydrate intake (peep it here and here). We shall see. |
