Early to Work
I’m at work and it’s not even 6AM yet. Here’s the deal: I have a shit-load of work to do this week. Please realize that for me a shit-load is only 30-hours worth of work for a week. There is a two-part explanation for this.

~ 1) I am a government employee.
~ 2) I am super-worker and as such I am twice as productive as the average worker ant.

Part of my crunch results from having to take tomorrow off so that I can be around when El-Sea goes to the dentist for her baby root canal. We went in for her consultation yesterday afternoon and, due to a cancellation, the dentist is able to squeeze El-Sea in tomorrow. It was that or wait another month and a half. Here’s the “fuck me” fact: $650.00! …and we do have dental insurance. Ouch. Looking at the treatment plan, if I opt out of the non-iv conscious sedation and the sealants I could trim $450.00 off the price. But this IS El-Sea, so what else can I do but go the safe route? If this were my car instead I’d have a completely 180 view on the situation.

Speaking of the car, my rockin’ VW Golf (ha!) needs to go into the shop today. Thankfully, the dealer is half a block away from work. The engine light is eternally on. Every now and again I take the Golf in for maintenance and the mechanic tells me he has fixed the problem, yet the damn engine light turns back on as soon as I get it home. But that’s not the real problem, like I said I live in a perpetual state of engine light on-ness. The Golf started leaking power steering fluid last weekend. I found the leak. The power steering fluid reservoir is mounted on the same metal platform as the battery. Well, the battery has been seeping a little or something because there is a lot of corrosion around the base . This corrosion has eaten a hole in my fluid reservoir. Looking at the set up I could probably fix the damn thing myself, but I need to get the engine light checked out and I need an oil change so let me see what the mechanic has to say.

What the hell am I doing?! I can’t be blogging right now… I got work to do.
