Honor Thy Sports Spirit Guide
I have had a Koosh basketball hoop in my cubicle for the last nine months. I have five little Koosh balls that I blindly fling across the cube’ hoping, but only half-caring, that the furry balls penetrates the rim. Sadly enough, I have yet to go 5/5 on my shooting. Nine months of hoops and I still suck.

Here’s the geometrics I contend with: The basket is mounted 4-foot 1-inch off the ground and the rim measures 9-inches in diameter. The Koosh balls weight about 3-ounces and are 3-inches in diameter. I sit 9-feet away from the basket and I’m usually positioned about 2-degrees off-center. The only defender between the backboard and me is my mobility-challenged Compaq monitor. This should be a fricking easy shot especially taking into consideration that the hoop is three times larger then the size of the Kooshes… or Keesh… or Quiche… or whatever the hell is the plural of Koosh. Sitting makes the shot a bit tougher and I’m basically shooting the scaled down equivalent of a three-pointer.

To honor my sports spirit guide, Latrell Spreewell, I am on a holy mission (much like the Mormons who live in Apt #107) to achieve enlightenment through attaining 5/5 shooting. Working toward such a goal will better align my subconscious harmonics with those of Spree. I will track my progress on the right sidebar. It’s a tribute to my sports spirit guide.

(It's like I'm going on a shooting Spree... HA!)
