Geek-festIf you currently operate under the assumption that I am the embodiment of all things suave, then please read no further because this post will pop the delicate meniscus on your frosty stein of shenry cool.I took this quiz and I was bombarded by middle/high school flashbacks. Thanks tj for bringing it to my attention and making me momentarily relive those damnably awkward adolescent years. I Am A: Chaotic Neutral Human Thief Fighter Alignment: Chaotic Neutral characters are unstable, and frequently insane. They believe in disorder first and foremost, and will thus strive for that disorder in everything they do. This means that they will do whatever seems 'fun' or 'novel' at any given time. Commentary: Back in the day I always chose some combination of chaotic, neutral, and/or evil. Good characters just seemed so… restrictive. Race: Humans are the 'average' race. They have the shortest life spans, and because of this, they tend to avoid the racial prejudices that other races are known for. They are also very curious and tend to live 'for the moment'. Commentary: I rarely played as a human. What’s the point? If I’m going to role-play then I might as well go with something different. Half-orcs and halflings were me bread and butter. Primary Class: Thieves are the most roguish of the classes. They are sneaky and nimble-fingered, and have skills with traps and locks. While not all use these skills for burglary, that is a common occupation of this class. Commentary: Right on the nose. Although, I preferred the AD&D assassin subclass of thief. Secondary Class: Fighters are the warriors. They use weapons to accomplish their goals. This isn't to say that they aren't intelligent, but that they do, in fact, believe that violence is frequently the answer. Commentary: I was always fairly one-dimensional and never dabbled in multi-class characters. However, the assassin subclass was a compromise between the abilities of a thief and the versatility of fighter. As a footnote, I hated playing magic users and clerics. Deity: Beshaba is the Chaotic Evil goddess of bad luck, accidents, and mischief. She is also known as the Maid of Misfortune, and also Tyche's unpleasant daughter. Followers of Beshaba believe that bad things happen to everyone, and only by praying to Beshaba will you have a chance of being spared. Her symbol is a set of black deer's antlers inset on a red triangle. Commentary: Besha-huh? Deity. Must’ve been after my time or part of some obscure subset of rules that I never cared to look into.
