Grammy Picks
record of the year
  • Lori: Hey Ya, OutKast-- I always sing it.
  • Sherry: Hey Ya, OutKast-- Cool and quirky with a well-rounded flava.
  • Shenry: Hey Ya, OutKast-- The only possibility in my mind.
album of the year
  • Lori: Under Construction, Missy Elliott-- Can she spend the night?
  • Sherry: Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, OutKast-- You cannot compete with their creative ingenuity and street flava.
  • Shenry: Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, OutKast-- What the hell is the difference between "record" and "album"? Four of the five nominations are worthy... all but Justin Timberlake. If there is any justice in this world, he will not win.
song of the year
  • Lori: Wha?
  • Sherry: Lose Yourself, Eminem-- Eminem is cool.
  • Shenry: Keep Me In Your Heart, Warren Zevon-- To the best of my knowledge, I have not heard any of these songs. When in doubt, go with the dead dude.
new artist
  • Lori: Evanescence-- The songs are pretty.
  • Sherry: Evanescence-- When I first heard her, it sounded like how I imagined myself as a rocker.
  • Shenry: Evanescence-- When I, too, first heard her, it sounded like how I imagined myself as a rocker.
pop vocal album
  • Lori: Diet Coke?!
  • Sherry: Brainwashed, George Harrison-- George was cool 'cause of all those sitars.
  • Shenry: Brainwashed, George Harrison-- When in doubt, go with the dead dude.
rock album
  • Lori: Fallen, Evanescence-- It's pretty.
  • Sherry: Audioslave, Audioslave-- They're not as bad as you initially think they're going to be.
  • Shenry: Audioslave, Audioslave-- I can't believe Matchbox Twenty is nominated in this catagory. They're as rock as Jethro Tull is heavy metal.
rap album
  • Lori: Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, OutKast-- I love them.
  • Sherry: Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, OutKast-- They're my peeps, yo! They remind me of home, Eastpoint.
  • Shenry: Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, OutKast-- It's unanimous. A double disc and a double dose of awesome.
country album
  • Lori: I want a brownie.
  • Sherry: Live and Kickin', Willie Nelson-- He's the o.g.
  • Shenry: Live and Kickin', Willie Nelson-- Tax evading, pot smoking, old dude with a stylish ponytail... he's my hero.
r&b album
  • Lori: I want three more ferrets.
  • Sherry: Love and Life, Mary J. Blige-- Better than the other newbies and child molesters nominated.
  • Shenry: Love and Life, Mary J. Blige-- Process of elimination.
traditional pop vocal album
  • Lori: The Yes Album, Yes-- It is time for this 1970's prog rock album to get the respect it deserves.
  • Sherry: A Wonderful World, Tony Bennett and k.d. lang-- An old school crooner with a lesbian icon... you can't go wrong.
  • Shenry: The Last Concert, Rosemary Clooney-- When in doubt, go with the dead dude. (She is dead, right?)
