Sherry wore me down yesterday. It was like that Simpsons episode where Bart and Lisa kept shouting, "Can we go to Mount Splashmore? Can we go to Mount Splashmore? Can we go to Mount Splashmore? Can we go to Mount Splashmore?…" and finally, out of sheer mental exhaustion, Homer gives in. Only Sherry was asking, "Can we get another ferret? Can we get another ferret? Can we get another ferret? Can we get another ferret?…" So we went to the Dumb Friends League and adopted a new fuzzy. Jabba the Hutt is a very vocal one-year-old male. He constantly chirps, squeaks, jumps and spazzes. By comparison, he makes our other two ferrets appear lazy and bored. For being a year old he is one heavy son of a bitch. Sherry estimates that in another year he'll surpass the combined weight of Ming and Kraken. His shear size is one reason for the name Jabba the Hutt. The other influence was that brilliant South Park episode where Sally Struthers is portrayed as a Hutt. She is drawn like a Hutt, she talks like a Hutt, she travels in an intergalactic Hutt spaceship, and she laughs in that booming Hut way. OH-Ho-ho-hoh-oh-oh!

I'm thinking about transferring to different department. My current job is a total joke. I basically get paid to surf blogs and jack off. I must be nuts to want to leave this position. Unfortunately, my position is frozen at it's current level, meaning if I pass the Professional Engineer's Exam I will not get a promotion nor the associated raise. So, I've been keeping an eye peeled for upgradeable openings, and I've found one. Tomorrow I'll be following around the lady whose job I might be competing for. Most of the time, when you apply for a job, you go into the situation not fully comprehending the scope and magnitude of the position. This is one of those rare opportunities to fully understand what I might be getting myself into. Hopefully, this new position will be a cherry job that allows me to continue my on-line antics.
