meet me at the junctionOn Sunday work is shipping me out to Grand Junction for a day or two. I always enjoy Grand Junction; work sets me up in this amazingly posh hotel. Of course, the price of a posh hotel in G.J. is chump change compared to ritzy hotels in major cities. And to be honest, what I really mean by "amazingly posh" is "killer continental breakfast".Sherry and Lori usually tag along for these work-sponsored micro-vacations, but Lori is still in school (until Tuesday) and I'll be flying solo. I guess by "solo" I mean "with Brook", because stoner-boy has nothing better to do with his summer vacation than hang around a posh G.J. hotel, smuggling doggie bags of killer continental breakfast poolside, while I spend all day under the brutal sun dodging speeding trucks and measuring the various dimensions of pavement cracks on the highway. This trip will be nice, and by "nice" I mean "road trippin', hackysack kickin', poolside dippin', butthole pickin', cocktail sippin', Brooklyn strippin' fun". |
