Has anybody else seen The WB's Superstar USA? This has to be the evilest show since the original Joe Millionaire. The WB is searching for the worst singer in the U.S. by holding an American Idol-like competition. The panel of judges (which includes ToneLoc) lies to every contestant, dogging the good singers and praising the sucky ones. And, according to the afore linked article:

To keep audience members from booing and hooting the obviously awful performances, a producer announced that the contestants were terminally ill beneficiaries of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

This show is built around malevolent deceit and unforgiving brutality. In the end, the winner gets a recording contract to prove that anybody can be a Superstar. I love it.
