We all have an ultra-vivid memory or two, where every detail is flawlessly preserved in our memory banks. When experts speak of these memories, they imply that these memories are solely associated with shocking or traumatic events.

My brother told me he has one of these flashbulb memories of me. Ben claims this specific memory is like a scene out of The Matrix. He can slow it to bullet-time, he can speed it up, he can rewind it, and he can spatially reconstruct events and view it from any conceivable angle. He remembers the precise time of evening, the color of the jacket I was wearing, our positions relative to each other, and he remembers the exact words I spoke:
