in the ghetto: double take

So, I have a brief follow up to my post about living in the ghetto

Yet another cool thing about living near the inner-city projects: I can walk to Denver's City and County Building for jury duty. No fighting downtown traffic or paying outrageous downtown parking fees... I can walk there. (In case you were wondering, I didn't get selected for a jury. I just sat in the jury lottery room until noon reading Cosmos. There were over 300 possible jurors and only 30 of us didn't get called... run the numbers... I was in the 10% minority that didn't get picked. I'm a bit disappointed.)

Also. The recent issue of Westword has a long-ass article about Burrito Ladies and their coolers full of tortilla-wrapped orgasms. I admit that I didn't read the entire article; it's 6-pages long for fuck's sake. And it's not like I'm making you read the entire article, either. But, it is appropriate since I mentioned the Burrito Lady two-weeks ago, and I loved this quote:

Asking why burritos are so big in Denver is like asking why sunsets are orange and blue. Because God is a Broncos fan. And he knows we like burritos -- preferably delivered to our door.
